COOLER'S, INC. was founded in 1967 by Dub Dickson, Sr., specializing in commercial refrigeration. For many years we have installed institutional refrigeration for large kitchens in hospitals and large universities. In 1969, Dub Dickson, Jr. joined the company. This same year we started installing the refrigeration for new McDonald's Restaurants all over the U.S. Estimates show that we installed refrigeration in over 3,000 McDonald's.

In 1979 we were asked to begin installing the Multiplex beverage system in McDonald's. In 1982 we became distributors for Multiplex and named Distributor of the Year in 1990. Awards for installers of the Quarter have been won three times (no one in the U.S. has won it more times). We currently install beer and soda equipment for Multiplex in over one-half of Texas.

Manitowoc Ice Machines came to us in 1982 and requested we become a Contracted Service Representative. We accepted and are currently the highest volume service representative for Manitowoc in the U.S. We are responsible for all National Account Installations and service for accounts like ARAMARK, Jack in the Box and McDonald's Restaurants, LaQuinta's and Holiday Inn Hotels and Motels. In 1995 Dub and Jim Dickson purchased the company from their father and continue to provide quality service.

We have sold ice and service machines and walk-in boxes to the Astrodome and ARAMARK for the last ten years.

Houston Independent School District (the largest in Texas) uses us for their equipment and warranty service for all 260 of their schools.
